Garay House was converted into a 9-apartment building in 2010. It is currently part of the “Calle décima en desarrollo” buildings, which have been restored by the San Felipe Real Estate Company.
Apartment #4 is located on the Second Floor (Level 100), with a total area of 94.61m2 (87 m2 of living space). It consists of a single bedroom with full bathroom and closet, living / dining room, kitchen and laundry. It features tall windows overlooking Avenida B and the bedroom overlooking the interior courtyard of the building, With a height of 4.50 meters from the finished floor level to the finished level of the ceiling of the apartment.
The purpose of this Mezzanine is to make a library room on the top floor connected to a dual-purpose staircase (staircase / library), in order to highlight the books that the owner has and take advantage of the reduced space of the apartment. This Mezzanine will only be projected on to the kitchen and part of the main bedroom, so as not to eliminate that charm that double-height apartments present, it presents an enviable view, lighting and natural ventilation, we do not want to modify or eliminate these elements in any way, since the main thing is to maintain that transparency and fluidity of the winds and the connection between the spaces
